Massage Tips
How to get the most from your treatment...
Pre Massage
- Drink plenty of water as your body needs to be hydrated
- Arrive on time to avoid any unnecessary stress
During Massage
- Communicate with your practitioner, if you are uncomfortable or if the pressure is not right you must let the therapist know so you have the full benefit of the massage
- Concentrate on your breathing, long deep breaths particularly if an area is being worked on that may be tight or tender.
- If you want to talk during your treatment then that is great but always remember that silence is acceptable also and can often deepen your experience.
- Your massage is your time so relax and enjoy!
Post Massage
- Again drink plenty of water as this helps to flush out any toxins that may have been stirred up during the massage. Water replenishes and cleanses your system.
- Have a bath with Epsom salts. This helps clear and draw out any impurities from the body. You can buy them from most pharmacies.
- Avoid being busy or stressed, maybe do something you enjoy.
Ongoing
- Stretching, even if its only 5 minutes a day this will ease muscle tightness.
